Anwar Dunbar

Anwar is from Buffalo, New York. He is a research scientist by trade with a PhD in pharmacolgoy who began learning salsa (very slowly because of grad school:)) from various sources starting in the spring of 2000. His interests besides salsa are reading all kinds of books, lifting weights, travelling and listening to talk radio (political and sports). His favorite Salsa band is El Gran Combo and his Salsa idol is Shaka G. Brown of the Clavekazi dance company in Washington, DC. He is also an instructor for MSalsa.

Laura Geldys

Laura began dancing at age 4. She is trained in ballet, modern, tap, jazz, flamenco, swing and other dance forms. Five years ago her addiction to salsa began. Since then she has performed throughout the United States in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis, Boston, Michigan, Texas, North Carolina. She has also performed in countries around the world including France, England, Germany, Denmark, and the Dominican Republic. One of her greatest satisfactions is helping people to do things that they initially believed were impossible. For all those who feel that the Tuesday night class is too difficult, she also teaches beginner level classes Saturday evenings at dance revolution. She is also a member of Yoruba Andabo.

DeeDee White

Miss Deneatha Nakia has studied many different dance forms including jazz, african, caribbean & modern as well as salsa. She enjoys traveling to salsa congresses around the USA & Canada. Her favorite teachers include our very own Anwar Dunbar & Donald Richardson.
